Jill’s focus area is research and development of telemedicine initiatives. Her emphasis is on evidence based best practices in telemedicine and has a thorough knowledge of health care practices and service delivery in South Africa. In addition; she is technically minded with a special interest in telecommunications opportunities that would enhance telemedicine in South Africa. She provides consultant assistance to those wanting to setup telemedicine initiatives and also facilitates telemedicine training workshops.She is currently enrolled for her PhD which will contribute to the limited body of knowledge regarding Telemedicine in South Africa.

Letlhogonolo has been working at the MRC in Pretoria for the past three years. She was successful in her application as a Telemedicine Research Technologist position in the Telemedicine Platform Division. She intends to further her studies and broaden her knowledge of Telemedicine whilst working in the Telemedicine Platform.

Dr Moretlo Molefi is a dynamic medical practitioner who has used her undergraduate training as a platform to embark on her interest in telemedicine. She has been one of the few pioneers of telemedicine in South Africa and Africa.
Her representation at various levels of government and non governmental organizations has added credibility to the unit. She is a versatile entrepreneur and experience business executive. Dr Molefi has a specific interest in Public Private Partnerships (PPP’s) and is currently the project leader to pilot a public private partnership in Telemedicine.

Sinclair Wynchank has been involved with Telemedicine for almost 20 years. Amongst other activities this has included being Chairman of the SA National Telemedicine Forum 1997-2001 and acting as consultant to both the National Department of Health and the Commission for the Indian Ocean, in this field. In 1999, he chaired the Department’s committee which selected Telemedicine equipment for the first national pilot network. After an invitation to produce a plan for a Pan African Tele-nuclear medicine network, proposals were made to combine this with a separate WHO Pan African general Telemedicine network. 

He has given invited lectures in 10 nations on Telemedicine and is the author or co-author of 16 conference communications and 7 publications on this subject.
