MRC Research Capacity Development (RCD) Sub-Directorate’s core business is funding and support of research through internships and other programs. In addition, RCD provides a number of platforms for early and mid career researchers to present their work for critique by a community of researchers and target audiences.
These provide opportunities not only to hone critical scientific skills such as presentation and communication skills but also to test the excellence and relevance of research being funded by MRC. The MRC Early Career Scientist annual Conference is the Premier of such platforms created by RCD.
Work presented at this conference is subjected to a review process of rigour for acceptance
