The MRC issues Policy
Briefs to government and other decision-makers on a regular basis - giving
recommendations for new policies or changes in policies that could affect
the health of everyone.
A recent policy brief
refers to the unnecessary burden that worm infection poses on many South African children and on the overall cost of health care. Disadvantaged children carry most of the load, especially those who live in densely populated and under-serviced urban informal settlements, as well as in some rural areas. Read more about it. |
