 Rachel Jewkes puts Public Health research on the map
MRC Gender and Health Research Unit Director, Rachel Jewkes, was today placed in the A category at the level A2 by the National Research Foundation (NRF). An A2 rating is awarded to a researcher who is recognised by the overriding majority of reviewers as a leading scholar in his/her field internationally. Jewkes, who has directed sterling research for the past decade, is the first MRC A-rated in-house researcher in the public health field. She is known worldwide for her research on gender-based violence.
