Dr Daphney Matume who was doing her PhD via the SAMRC RCDI Post-Graduate program just graduated in September 2018 as a Doctor of Philosophy and is now currently a Postdoc at University at Venda University assisting Prof Bessong with his research project. We are proud to say that she has just published a paper “Characterization of APOBEC3 variation in a population of HIV-1 infected individuals in Northern South Africa” in the BMC Medical Genetics journal. The SAMRC is proud to have been a part of her journey to success!!
