Day one: Knowledge translation workshop

The objectives of the knowledge translation workshop is to:

1. Define knowledge translation within the context of a report of a study conducted by MRC on behalf of the Canadian Institute.
2. Discuss knowledge sharing within the MRC among researchers.
3. Discuss the development of the MRC research database or reporistory.

Expected outcome:

• The formulation of a strategic policy framework for knowledge sharing and database development.

Day two: Open access workshop

The objectives of the open access workshop is to:

1. Define open access and international movements/trends.
2. Discuss the role of the MRC in open access movements.
3. Discuss an open access policy and implications within the organisation.

Expected outcome:

• Strategy and policy framework for open access.
