Administration Support

Health Systems Research Unit
Maternal and Child Health Programmes - SAPMTCTE
8 Months Contract position

We are seeking to appoint a skilled, well-organised, meticulous and experienced person who demonstrates initiative to assist the SAPMTCTE staff by rendering professional administrative support.

The responsibility of this position includes:

  • Ordering of stationery
  • Making travel & accommodation bookings
  • Booking of venues for meetings
  • Taking minutes
  • Arranging of couriers for deliveries and pick ups
  • Handling of queries telephonically with supervisors and fieldworkers
  •  Photocopying, faxing and scanning and filing of documentation
  • Keeping database of fieldworkers details
  • Distribution of lab supplies to provinces
  • Printing of all documentation needed for training or the survey
  • Assisting with MRC33 claims & queries before submitting them to Finance
  • Liaising with Operations for MRC4A requests and order numbers
  • Sending confirmations of travel and accommodation arrangements to the relevant staff members on time
  • Keeping record of supplies arriving in office, distributed to provinces and those left in the office

Candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Grade 12/NQF level 4 qualification
  • a minimum of two years applicable working experience
  • Proficiency in Windows-based software packages such as WordPerfect and MS Office Suites including internet and e-mail
  • Good communication and public relations skills for both inter-departmental and external liaison
  • Be a good team player
  • Ability to cope under pressure.
  • Drivers licence

An annual salary ranging from R89 010 - R95 686 (cost-to-company) will be negotiated in compliance with experience/qualifications.
