The MRC Unit for Tuberculosis Epidemiology & Intervention Research Unit and the Supranational Reference laboratory for Sub-Sahara Africa are inviting suitably qualified and experienced individual consultants to assist in strengthening TB control in four Sub-Sahara African countries through the development, implementation and improving capacity of Operational Research through collaboration with government institutions.
Documented experience as follows is required:
- TB Operational Research Consultants
Requirements: PhD or Masters in Public Health / Epidemiology. Extensive experience in Operational Research and excellent fluency in English are invited to respond to this advertisement. The work environment will be highly diverse, changing, adherence to deliver according to strict deadlines and ready to travel will be required.
Deliverables: Training and Improving Capacity Development and Knowledge Sharing of Operational Research Systems Roll out – Develop; design and implement the Operational Research agenda related to TB; Identifying, supporting and overseeing regional institutions which would develop and carry out the Operational Research.
Previous experience required: Five to ten years of relevant experience in TB Operational Research Programmes, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa; Writing and reviewing of policy documentation; Evaluation of operational research systems and Facilitation of workshops. Excellent computer, written, oral, and communication skills
