Research Assistant to PI
HIV Prevention Research Unit
Durban
2 Year Contract
This position entails responsibility for:
- Literature searches on the internet and coordination of a reference database.
- Assist with the preparation of documents for ethics and MCC applications and regulatory progress reports.
- Creating regulatory documentation and maintaining filing systems for research studies according to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards
- Provide administrative support (filing, general typing, taking and typing of minutes, creating presentations, reports)
- Diary Management
- Planning/Coordinating meetings, workshops and trainings for both unit and research projects (catering, booking of venues, etc)
- General office and research duties
Requirements:
- Basic degree or equivalent diploma with two years experience in a research or related environment
- Good organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Excellent computer skills in MS Office packages (Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet)
- Experience with DAIDS policies and requirements
A salary in the region of R110 124 - R139 275 per annum, cost-to-company will be negotiated in compliance with experience/qualifications.
