
ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
The Programme Committee invites submission of abstracts for oral and poster presentations. The abstract submission deadline is 15 October 2006. Abstracts received after this date may be accepted, but there will be no guarantee of appearance in the book of abstracts.
Abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee. The committee reserves the right to accept and allocate abstracts for either poster or oral presentation. Authors will be notified by Friday, 27 October 2006 if their abstract has been accepted. All authors of accepted abstracts must be registered as delegates for the conference.

Oral presentations
Selected oral presentations must be in English, no longer than 10 minutes' duration, plus five minutes for questions. Presentation in French and other European languages that are used in African countries will be considered by a special committee with simultaneous translation into English.
Poster Presentations
Accepted posters will be on display in a prominent position throughout the conference. Posters should measure no more than 95 cm (width) and approximately 1,.5m (height). Full details for the preparation of posters will be included in the abstract acceptance letter.
The 27th AHSC Scientific Achievement Awards
The 27th AHSC welcomes a special sponsorship for two scientific
achievement awards named after the name of the sponsor. One for the
young researcher (younger than 35), and one for a senior researcher. The
awards include a cheque and a framed certificate. The amounts payable
are tabulated below. Corporate sponsors are invited to sponsor the
entire award ceremony or to sponsor at least one of the categories.
