Bio based innovations have had a huge potential to transform Africa’s economies, accelerate agricultural renewal, biomedical research and industrial development. The development of Africa’s bio economy sector will be as transformative as the digital communications has been. The development of a vibrant and sustainable bio economy sector requires structural and policy changes to ensure that the systems are in place to support it. A number of African countries have embraced bio-economy policies aimed at supporting the research and development of bio-based innovations and have achieved different levels of economic success.
We would like to invite speakers and delegates from all over the world to our 2nd BIO Africa Convention from 26 – 28 August 2019 in Durban South Africa. The Convention will achieve sharing and knowledge transfer of highly updated and relevant information from across the globe with a special emphasis on Africa. This will be achieved by scheduled scientific sessions, keynote presentations by renowned scientists and policy makers , workshops and panel discussions.
