Conclusion
The MRC, through its new Research Strategy 2005-2010, intends to optimise the relevance and impact of its research for the health and quality of life of the population. The research strategy will be implemented in the context of the broader MRC Strategic Plan 2005-2010, and in parallel with the MRC transformation and development plan. By these means the MRC will ensure that its research is aligned with its vision of 'building a healthy nation through research'.
