Registration information
Delegates must submit an online registration form and wear their name badges at all times. No casual attendance will be permitted. All payment should be made two weeks prior to the conference. No onsite registrations will be allowed.
MRC Staff
MRC staff members must please submit the registration forms electronically and forward the MRC 4's to Meagan Simpson, MRC Cape Town, Events Management Office. Finance department will not accept any MRC4’s unless signed off by our office.
Registration fees
Early Registration: R350 (excluding vat)
Late Registration: R500 (excluding vat)
Please note that the registration fee does not include accommodation or airport transfers or tours.
Payment of fees
Payments can be made by personal credit card or bank/wire transfer. Please clearly indicate your name and surname on the deposit slip. Receipts will only be issued to delegates after receiving proof of payment. A copy of the deposit slip must be faxed to Meagan Simpson @ +27 21 938 0238.

Credit card
Only Master and Visa credit cards will be accepted.
- A photocopy of the front and back of the credit card;
- Expiry date;
- The last three digits on the reverse side of the card and
- The cardholder’s identity document or passport must be faxed together with the Registration Form.
- An authorization letter should also accompany the registration form authorizing the Medical Research Council to deduct all the necessary payments.
All information provided will be handled in the strictest confidence.
The organisers will not be responsible for identifying funds if the delegate’s name and initials are not mentioned. Costs for an international transfer are for the delegate's own account.
Cancellations & refunds
Cancellations must be sent in writing to Ms Meagan Simpson, South African Medical Research Council, PO Box 19070, Tygerberg, 7505, Cape Town, South Africa or by fax on +27 21 938 0238. For cancellation before 5 October 2012 a cancellation charge amounting to 25% of the registration fee will be deducted from the refund. No refund for cancellation will be granted for any reason after 5 October 2012. The payment for refunds will be processed after the conference.
